6” x 6” encaustic on panel

Here in our cool, foggy slice of the Maine coast, spring takes its time arriving. It’s nearly May and, beyond crocuses, we have a few early daffodils and hyacinths, and the forsythia is just beginning to pop. But after the winter we had, we’ll take whatever we can get!!

I had a small encaustic panel in my supply stash so created this little ode to the arrival of spring. It’s on a 2” deep panel, so can sit on a shelf or be hung on the wall.
