Moonlight is so magical, and this Maine island painting plays up the dramatic night sky over a small island of pines. This painting has lots of turquoise blue highlights. In addition to the blue reflections on the water, each star has a ring of turquoise blue, and the island is silhouetted in blue, which you can see a little better in the closeup shot. Hence the title, Blue Nights. The sides of the panel have been painted a deep midnight blue, so framing is entirely optional.
