I absolutely love the brilliant oranges and red of autumn, and this painting celebrates them. It's called Autumn Breeze because this painting has a real sense of motion that I created by swirling the paint around with a pottery tool with a saw-toothed edge. (See detail shot.)
The metal leaf in this piece is a mix of gold, copper and bronze leaf; the entire painting is sealed with a clear UV-protective finish.
One thing I love about this piece is its versatility. It can be hung horizontally or vertically, depending on the space you’d like to use it in and the orientation that speaks to you. I’ve shown a few different possibilities here.
