This vibrant sunflower painting showcases the brilliant golden yellow leaves against a deep blue, late-summer sky. Once the beeswax had hardened, I carved into the flower heads with a pottery tool to highlight the seed pods, then added deep yellow highlights with oil stick. This painting radiates energy and joy.
