The theme of my solo show – Finding Joy – reflects our individual and collective need to seek out moments of joy in these anxiety-ridden times. The paintings capture the delight and wonder of those times when the beauty of the natural world suddenly stops you in your tracks: Being mesmerized by a starry night sky, noticing how the brilliant oranges and golds of autumn foliage pop against the deep blue sky, or watching a kaleidoscope of monarch butterflies as they pass through on their annual migration. Come see twenty one of my latest joyful, layered landscapes in this beautiful southern Maine gallery!

One of the paintings in this exhibit, October Marsh, was selected as the cover feature of the September/October 2025 issue of Art New England. The issue also includes a publisher's note discussing the importance of "envelopes" - safe spaces we escape to for peace and quiet, contemplation, distraction, or solace. The essay discusses October Marsh as one of these envelopes. "Let’s be grateful we can take a walk along the marshes of Cape Ann, MA, through the cover image by Maine artist Marcia Crumley....Crumley creates a beautiful envelope, a trusted path, and an ideal cover to inspire opening these pages.“ This edition also includes a preview of the show.
